At Gaya Ceramic and Design we create exclusive custom ceramic collections for international clients and retail some designs in our showroom in Ubud.
Marcello and Michela moved from Italy to Bali in 2001 to establish the company and start throwing pots — building “a place where intuition, inspiration, craft and love would combine.” In 2010 they founded the Gaya Ceramic Arts Center with Hillary, offering regular classes, intensive workshops and an Artist in Residency program. Today about 100 skilled craftsmen assist with forming, glazing and firing.
The Gaya logo is a simple bowl, symbolising how “Gaya holds ideas, creativity, passion, emotion, enthusiasm, individuals, craft work, fine art.”
We don’t produce, we create. We design and craft handmade, luxurious home and hospitality accessories — table sets, decorative pieces, installations, lighting and artworks — while preserving craftsmanship and the beauty of the handmade ceramic process.
